Wapekeka First Nation
The Wapekeka First Nation School Project involves the design and construction of a new 25,000 square foot educational facility located in a remote community in Northern Ontario. This Kindergarten to Grade 10 school features a Science Room, Native Language & Culture Room, and a Library. The students will have access to a new soccer field with removable goal posts, a baseball diamond, a hockey rink, and a community gathering area. The school is designed with curved exterior walls featuring glazing and blue toned siding, symbolizing the flowing river that holds importance to the Wapekeka First Nation.
