The Shamattawa Nursing Station is a new 23,000 square foot outpatient facility. The building includes 12 new staff apartments, an emergency room, examination rooms, dental treatment rooms, and is backed up by its own diesel generator. Shamattawa First Nation is a remote community located in Northern Manitoba, only accessible by winter ice roads and air.
