O'Chiese First Nations
The O’Chiese First Nation School is a new 50,000 square foot educational facility. The project also involved the construction of a new water treatment plant to service the school and a new development. The school is composed of two wood-framed classroom wings on the East and West sides and a steel framed core that contains a library, cafeteria, gymnasium, and administrative spaces. The core of the school is almost entirely covered by glue-laminated wood decking which is exposed to the spaces below.
