The Mishkeegogamang First Nation Water Treatment Plant Project involves the construction of a new water treatment facility consisting of a steel frame building, an in-ground concrete reservoir and a septic field. The treatment system consists of greensand filtration followed by UV disinfection. Included in the Scope of Work is the installation of a new watermain and service lines to existing houses, and installation of water treatment equipment for individual homes to create a decentralized water system. Upgrades to the existing water treatment plant include the installation of new UV disinfection systems and HVAC upgrades. Penn-co Construction is required to operate/monitor the new treatment system from commissioning until Substantial Completion is achieved.
