The Kingfisher Lake First Nation K4-10 School is a new educational facility located in a remote community only accessible by winter ice road and airplane. In addition to a new school, the project includes a warehouse, six teacherages, and site development work. The site development scope includes building an outdoor play area, gravel parking lot, volleyball court, baseball diamond, and a soccer field. The project aims to increase opportunities and space for students to learn interpersonal and technical skills. It will have eight classrooms, an Elder’s lounge, traditional learning classrooms, and health rooms. The school will be equipped with modern IT and teaching technologies and a high efficiency building envelope.
