The new Fisher River High School stands as the first of its kind, pushing the limits of construction methods with this unconventional 50,500 square foot structure. With 60% of the building being constructed in a modular format offsite, this is not a typical project, and Penn-co Construction was very excited to collaborate with the Fisher River Cree Nation in setting the bar for school construction in Canada. The school features a structural slab foundation, wood, steel, and masonry wall construction, clerestory windows along the corridors, and a beautifully landscaped 16-acre site boasting a running track, soccer pitch, and two baseball diamonds.
