The Eenchokay Birchstick School is a new 105,000 square foot educational facility located in a remote community in Northern Ontario. The new school includes two full-size gymnasiums, dozens of classrooms, two cafeterias, a full commercial kitchen, and vocational training classrooms among other educational spaces. The Scope of Work also involved the construction of a diesel generating station and upgrades to the communities’ civil services and roadways. This project was one of, if not the, largest winter/ice road projects in AANDC history (excluding Territorial projects).
