The Ecole Saint-Joachim School in La Broquerie, Manitoba is undergoing a major addition and renovation project. The new two-storey structure, measuring approximately 46,000 square feet, will be located adjacent to the current gymnasium. It will feature 16 new classrooms, a new gymnasium, science classroom, STEM classroom, a vocational area for home economics and industrial arts, and supporting spaces. The existing school building is being renovated to accommodate the expansion and improve overall integration. Additionally, two portable classrooms will be relocated on site and the site will be developed to improve access, servicing, and parking for staff and visitors. The project is following the LEED v4.1-Shadow method for sustainable building performance and tracking.
