The DSFM Sage Creek K-8 School Project is a 6,581 m2, two-storey French immersion school in Winnipeg’s growing Sage Creek neighbourhood. The school can accommodate up to 450 students and includes a daycare with 104 childcare spots. Key features of the new school include a central core housing a full-sized gymnasium, multipurpose room, home economics lab, industrial arts space, music room, and a vibrant learning common designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Extending off the central core are two classroom wings. The school is primarily constructed of concrete columns and beams and load bearing masonry walls with a steel roof structure. It’s targeting LEED Silver certification.
