The Weyburn RCMP Detachment project involves the construction of a new, purpose-built facility designed to support the operational and security needs of the RCMP. The work includes full site development with excavation, grading, underground utilities, and surface treatments such as asphalt paving, concrete curbs, and sidewalks. The building will be supported by cast-in-place concrete foundations and a structural steel frame, with exterior finishes including masonry veneer and metal cladding. Roofing systems, aluminum windows, and exterior doors complete the envelope.
Interior construction includes metal stud partitions, acoustic insulation, gypsum board finishes, and a range of flooring and ceiling systems. Mechanical and electrical scopes provide full HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with electrical distribution, lighting, and communications infrastructure. Specialized elements such as detention cells, interview rooms, sally ports, and security systems are integrated throughout, reflecting the unique operational requirements of an RCMP facility.
