The Confederation College TEC Hub is a new 43,400 square foot state-of-the-art technology and collaboration hub. The new hub was an extension to the existing building at Confederation’s Thunder Bay campus and involved various construction methods and materials such as mixed wood and steel beams. A unique aspect of this project was the featured glass encasements throughout the facility to allow visuals for mechanical and electrical systems, exposed structures, and installations that are ordinarily hidden, providing avenues of education from the foundation upwards.
