Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring an Electrical Engineer.
The Electrical Engineer will be the lead person responsible for providing project support on electrical details to the project team.
Job Duties
• Support the project team in all aspects of the electrical scope.
• Review designs, shop drawings, specifications and technical documents for accuracy.
• Review subtrade contracts and scope of work.
• Review and understand M&E potential design challenges and support the project team with design solutions to reduce change orders and delays.
• Review schedules and potential risks.
• Work with the Consultants and Engineers on the project scope and schedule.
• Review and support electrical Change Orders.
• Support the project team on BIM.
• Review subcontractor and supplier progress claims.
• Participate in project meetings and with the commissioning team.
• Prepares deficiency reports and confirms successful resolution of all deficiencies.
• Conduct formal engineering risk assessments when appropriate and make recommendations.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required with a P.Eng designation in good standing.
• Knowledge of industry regulatory standards.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics.
• Experience in design coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other engineering tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Able to lead and mentor EIT’s.
