Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Business Analyst to optimize workflows, improve data feedback loops, and help bridge the gap between our Estimating and Production teams. Construction or estimating domain expertise is strongly preferred, but we’re also open to exceptional BA candidates from other industries who learn new domains quickly.
This role is on-site at our Steinbach, MB location, where you’ll work closely with multiple stakeholders—from department managers to technology leads—to translate business needs into actionable solutions. Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, document workflows, and capture precise requirements for process or system improvements.
- Data & Workflow Analysis: Evaluate current estimating and production processes, pinpoint bottlenecks, and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and data accuracy.
- Solution Implementation: Partner with IT, vendors, and internal teams to implement new or enhanced systems and processes—ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Change Management: Develop and deliver training materials, lead stakeholder communications, and provide post-implementation support to drive adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the liaison between technical teams and end users—facilitating clear, proactive communication.
- Project Coordination: Support project planning, track milestones, and help manage risks and issues to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst (or similar) role, including gathering requirements, mapping business processes, and delivering solutions.
- Strong skills in data analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills—comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction/Estimating/Production experience (knowledge of workflows, terminology, and industry best practices).
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, or similar).
- Experience with process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
