On the east shore of the Flin Flon Creek with the community swimming pool 20 meters to the south, and apartments 10 meters to the north of the excavation, the new Flin Flon Water Treatment Plant will be raised. Close proximity to buildings coupled with the need to blast bedrock were some of the obstacles overcome to construct this plant with a 6.5 million liter reservoir at this location. Penn-Co is proud to enable the City of Flin Flon to continue to provide safe drinking water for its residents.
