This project includes a 92,000 sq ft new middle school. The school is to be built to LEED gold and power smart standards. Construction of the school is of cast-in-place concrete, concrete masonry block, hollow core and structural steel. The project incorporates a ground heat exchanger complete with in-slab heating lines. The exterior finishes include masonry brick finish. The school itself is intended to be a learning tool for students. Many areas of the structure will be left visibly open providing an understanding of different construction methods.
